What WTR actually does

WTR isn’t another marketplace tab. It’s a neutral reference that sits on your computer and gives you a structured way to look at each watch, using three pillars:

1. Deal framework

Type the seller’s asking price and WTR returns Target Buy, Target Sell, and a WTR Bottom Cash reference based on your tier and recent market behavior.

2. Popularity & movement

See which references have real velocity vs which ones sit. WTR looks at sold volume, active listings, and time-on-market to build a popularity signal.

3. Best-deal view

For each model, WTR compares lowest asks to recent average prices and surfaces “best deals” — where discount vs market is actually meaningful instead of cosmetic.

Who WTR is built for

WTR is for people who actually have to commit to numbers — not just talk about the market.

  • • Independent watch traders working daily deals across chats and platforms.
  • • Small dealers who want a shared standard for buy/sell ranges.
  • • In-store buyers who need quick, defensible ranges for cash offers.

If you already have a good feel for the market, WTR doesn’t replace that. It gives you a simple, repeatable reference so your offers are consistent and easier to explain — to yourself, partners, and clients.

The app stays out of your way. No alerts, no social feed, no extra noise. Just numbers you can lean on when you’re deciding whether this watch is worth your capital.

How WTR fits into your day

  1. Purchase WTR once for $99. You’ll receive your download links and license key by email.
  2. Install the desktop app on your Windows PC or Mac (first-time setup is under a minute).
  3. On first launch, enter your purchase email and license key to activate your copy.
  4. WTR downloads the latest dataset from wtr.watch and stores it locally.
  5. You choose how often to refresh: every 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 6 hours, or 12 hours (default).
  6. Whenever a watch comes up, you plug in the asking price and check where it sits vs your ranges and the current market.

Local-first by design

Deal calculations, saved settings, and your latest dataset live on your machine. WTR only talks to the server when it’s pulling fresh data or checking whether a new version is available.

Updates that ask, not force

When a new version is ready, WTR will prompt you to update. You choose when to install it — no surprise updates in the middle of a trading day.
